The day has finally arrived! April 19th – the day we have all been waiting for. The journey to Kenya begins. Fifteen hours of flight time ahead of us with a a stop in the land of swiss chocolate.
We have checked in our gazillion bags and got our coffee, and now I have a minute to think. Right now I don’t feel anxious, I don’t feel scared, and at the same time I’m not jumping for joy with excitement. I am waiting in anticipation for culture shock to slap me in the face as we wiz through the streets of Nairobi.
Wish us luck on our adventure serving the people of rural Kenya. I am excited to have you along for the journey!
